On Thursday, March 31st I will be taking part in a Zoom event celebrating the re-publication of Jill Paton Walsh’s children’s novel, A Parcel of Patterns. I will be one of a panel of four authors who have also written books inspired by the story of Eyam, the little village in Derbyshire which cut itself off from surrounding villages in order to contain the plague of 1666. I will be referring to my novel, Children of Winter, which is about three children who flee from the village in order to protect themselves.
The event will be chaired by Owen Roberts, the curator of the Eyam Museum, and you are invited to attend via Zoom. You need to book in advance via Eventbrite.
Do come along. It will be lovely to see you there and to share with you Jill Paton Walsh’s acclaimed novel, and the historic story of Eyam during the great plague.
